Prophetic Word - A Time for Trust not Action
Keith, one of our Overseers, had this word from God to share with us this morning. Log in to the website to add your comments/feedback below.
"I woke up this morning with 2 Corinthian 12 v 10 ringing in my ears.
The passage is famous
"That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
I think the Lord wants to say
Are you feeling weak at the moment? Are you missing your friends and family? Does it feel like nothing matters? Have you reverted to old habits and now feel a failure and that you have let me down? Or do you feel that somehow you should be doing more for me, that you should be using this time to witness more, to study the Bible more, to somehow make yourself a better Christian. Then remember these words of Paul. "When I am weak then I am strong."
This is a time for trust not action, a time to listen not talk, a time to wait on me. Lean on me and not on your own understanding, trust me to work through you, don't try and force it. Walk with me, talk with me, let me be God and you be you in all your weakness. Only as you trust me and do what I say will my Kingdom come and my will be done."
Remember Zechariah 4 v 6 " Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty."
