Messy Church

Messy Church is a monthly event that is held in the Queen Mary Centre. It is an all-age exploration of creativity and faith. It includes a craft time and there is also a time of celebration where songs are sung and a Bible story is explained. There is also time for prayer. It concludes by everyone sharing in a meal together. Messy Church is a great place to bring families and children as well as those who are new to the Christian faith. It is also a whole lot of fun!

An army of volunteers are needed to help run Messy Church which sometimes receives upwards of 60 visitors. We need help with: Cooking, Tea & Coffee, Administration, Welcoming, Crafts, Setting Up and Washing Up.

Wisbech Foodbank

The Wisbech Foodbank was first started by Wisbech Churches Together. It has since become its own entity but continues to serve those in need in our town. Based at the Wisbech Baptist Church the Foodbank is always in need of volunteers to help in a variety of ways.

At church we have a collection point for food items that you are welcome to bring along with you when you come and we will pass these on to the Wisbech Foodbank.

Our church is also associated with the Ferry Project, a local homeless charity and is also involved with our local community centre, the Queen Mary Centre, where we meet for many of our events and services. Both the Ferry Project and the Queen Mary Centre are always looking for willing volunteers to lend a hand. If you would like to get involved or to find out more please contact them.
