Genesis

 Genesis is The King's Church Wisbech's youth group for teens aged 12-18.  We have one main meeting a week on Sunday afternoons, although we sometimes get together on a Friday night for more social events.  So if you like friends, playing games, watching movies, reading the Bible, eating snacks, going to gigs, or just having a giggle 'Genesis' is the place to be! It would be great to have you come along!

What we do
Fun Friday - On Fridays we often go to gigs, bowling, movies or play some 
                      awesome games. 

Genesis - Sunday afternoons from 3.00-430pm. Here we study the Bible, discuss
                   important issues as well as play some games and make friends. We
                   now have a regular meeting place at the Queen Mary Community
                   Centre in their newly re-furbished Youth rooms.

Events with YOUth in mind!

6th March 2010 - Night Walk in Sandringham Forest
(This will be open to the whole church). Starting our walk just as the sun is setting, grab your torches, walking boots and a wooly hat as we enjoy a night walk through the forrest. See Rachael for more details.

13th March 2010: Live Bands, 7pm, Angles Theatre, Wisbech.  £8.50 (£6 Concession). If you like live music, you have got to come to LIVE BANDS! Building on the successes of past years, The King's Church Wisbech is pleased to be hosting not one, not two but four bands/artists on the same night! With a wide range of musical styles ranging from the 'Kate Bush' sounds of Helen Sanderson-White, Matt McChlery's Brit-Pop worship, the folk-rock of Jo Le Page to the youthful energised sounds of Brokenfor, there is something for everyone. 24th April 2010 - Alton Towers
A fun day out! Come and scream your lungs out on the super-fun rides at Alton Towers! See Rachael or more details.

July (Date TBC) - Kayaking
Get ready for a splash! Kayaking fun at Mepal for all those brave and adventerous amongst you (Don't worry, it's very safe, and extremely fun!). See Rachael for more details.

16th July 2010 - Rave in the Nave
A great concert with fantastic bands and fun games just for the youth at Ely Cathedral. We need to book tickets early (in April) so please let Rachael know as soon as possible if you are interested. www.raveinthenave.org

24th - 31st July 2010 - York Christian Youth Holidays
An excellent camp (Gregs and Dom went with Rachael last year) just for teens. Rachael will be a leader again this year - so you will know someone there! It is a great time to meet other young Christians and get to now God better. See Rachael for more details. www.ycyh.org

Parental Consent
Your safety and care are very important to us. Extra care has been taken to ensure that all those working with young people are legally allowed to do so. We also recognise the importance of parents knowing where their children are, and who they are with. It is therefore a requirement that you print off the Parental Consent form below and ask your parents to fill it in. This will show us that you have been given your parent's permission to attend our youth group activities.
