Ferry Project

Since it's inception, The King's Church Wisbech has been involved, supportive of and interested in the work of the Ferry Project. We have close links with the charity and continue to support its work in as many ways as we can.
The Ferry Project is a charity within Luminus Group that aims to help homeless single adults (aged 18 upwards), in the Fenland area, by providing both emergency accommodation and longer-term help. It was founded in 1998 by members of Wisbech Churches Together and joined Luminus Group in March 2006.
Our aim is to help people move on to their own independent living with a home of their own and a job.
Octavia View
Octavia View is the newly refurbished premises owned and operated by The Ferry Project. A Grade 2 listed building, Octavia View is a very attractive and functional building. It contains community rooms that are available for functions and conferences, an education suite, a charity shop 'Octavia's' that sells new and pre-loved items of good quality from Hope Social Enterprises (another branch of The Ferry Project), and the luxurious 'Octavia's Coffee Shop' selling divine coffee in relaxing and sumptuous surroundings. The building also has a separate area for the Ferry Project clients and their accommodation.
